Frisco's $5B mile looks to turn into DFW's relocation mile in 2015

Frisco hopes to land some major relocations in 2015, in part because of a massive amount of development totaling $5.4 billion — which is the most development in any mile stretch of roadway in the Lone Star state.

The development, spurred by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' decision to put the club's world headquarters and practice facility along the tollway, will completely transform the 549 acres of land in a mile stretch of the Dallas North Tollway bound by Warren Parkway and Lebanon Road into a corporate magnet.

Frisco Mayor Maher Maso said developers know if they build near the new Dallas Cowboys headquarters, they will be successful.

The team's presence in Frisco ended discussions of the Dallas Stars potentially moving its headquarters out of the city, and the draw of the Cowboys translates to other industries, according to real estate sources.

Dubai-based investor Anas Kozbari told me Thursday the Jones family was instrumental in solidifying Frisco as the go-to spot for his company's pilot $700 million investment project in the United States. He also gave me a sneak preview of the project through an architect's video.

We have an in-depth report on Frisco's '$5 Billion Mile,' as well as the details behind each project, where development in Frisco is headed and the reasons why Frisco has been a growing powerhouse in North Texas
