March traffic at Dallas Love Field jumps by 50 percent

The growth in traffic at Dallas Love Field continued in March as the number of passengers getting on and off airplanes increased by 50 percent from the same month in 2014.

Statistics from the city’s aviation department showed that 1,130,032 passengers used Love Field in March, up from 752,224 in March 2014.

The biggest carrier by far remains Southwest Airlines, which saw a 41.1 percent jump to 1,023,447 passengers. That may be Southwest’s first million-passenger month ever at the Dallas airport.
