Chase looking at office campus sites in West Plano, Frisco

J.P. Morgan Chase is narrowing down its locations for a new regional corporate campus.

The banking and finance giant is looking at spots in West Plano and Frisco – including the big Legacy West development, real estate brokers who are tracking the deal say.

For several months commercial real estate firms JLL and CBRE have been representing Chase as it considers building a new office campus that could total as much as 1 million square feet.

Chase would consolidate North Texas workers now in several locations into the new operations center, brokers who are familiar with the deal say.

Chase is looking at two potential locations in Legacy business park as well as other land in Plano. And the banking firm is considering locations in mixed-use projects planned for Frisco, real estate execs say.

A Chase spokesman said he could not comment on the firm’s real estate plans.

The $2 billion Legacy West project is a strong contender for the deal. The 240-acre project at the southwest corner of the Dallas North Tollway and State Highway 121 has already landed new office centers for Toyota, FedEx Office and Liberty Mutual Insurance.

Chase now has employees housed in buildings on the Dallas North Tollway in Farmers Branch, in Lewisville, downtown Dallas and near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

The bank has more than 12,000 workers in North Texas.
