Help Doc Lawson bring soccer to Liberia

Enjoy brunch at world-class Blue Mesa Grill on us as we partner to support global game changer Doc Lawson. The former US Olympian and Dallas Sidekicks pro soccer star is helping to restore hope to the children of his homeland, Liberia, West Africa.

Rebounding from a 15-year civil war, the nation of Liberia is in a social crisis. With 80% of the population under age 18 and too much idle time, the children are lost and desperate for wholesome activities and solid role models. Founded by the United States in 1822, ten of Liberia’s first 12 presidents were Americans.

Doc Lawson and his foundation Donami have partnered with the government/YMCA of Liberia, the Dallas Sidekicks, Metro Dallas Ys, and Y-USA World Service to build a youth sports infrastructure. The children are responding enthusiastically to preliminary events. You can help by making a tax-deductible donation of $100. That registers 40 kids in a safe soccer program in Liberia for one year. In return, you will receive a complementary gift card for two brunches at Blue Mesa Grill (offer ends February 28).
