A look inside Toyota North America's new Plano corporate campus

Construction on Toyota North America's 100-acre corporate campus in West Plano is more than 50 percent completed, which will bring a collaborative work environment to the Japanese automaker's 4,000 U.S. employees upon completion next year.

All in, Toyota's relocation to North Texas will cost the company more than $1 billion, which includes developing the campus and relocating thousands of employees to the region.

Toyota North America unveiled the interior design of its campus at a community meeting Tuesday evening, which will help the automaker accommodate its U.S. workforce.

"We are feeling good about where we are," Cheryl Hughes, Toyota's vice president of human resources, told the Dallas Business Journal."We are really right where we need to be." SHOW FULL STORY

Austin Commercial has about 1,200 construction workers on the site within the $2 billion Legacy West development on any given day and the project is more or less on schedule.

Dallas-based architectural firm Corgan has designed campus to include a number of collaborative areas for employees with open workspaces and modern design.

The multi-building campus is slated for completion in spring 2017.
