Jerry Jones' Blue Star Land files plans for more office space at The Star in Frisco

As the Dallas Cowboys regroup in the off season, sources say the team’s owner is wasting no time building the real estate bench at The Star in Frisco.  Show Full Story

The Dallas Morning News reported Jerry Jones’ real estate company Blue Star Land has filed plans with the city of Frisco for three more office buildings at The Star, ranging in size from seven to 12 stories tall.

Pelli Clarke Pelli, the designer of Uptown Dallas’ McKinney & Olive building, could also lay out The Star’s new office towers, the DMN added.

If built, the towers would join an already-constructed 400,000-square-foot office building on Warren Parkway. The Star’s existing office offerings have been popular, attracting tenants like Bank of America, PlainsCapital Bank, and FM Global.

Commercial property firm esrp, formerly known as E Smith Realty Partners, also plans to move to the Cowboys’ home in Frisco.

But The Star’s popularity hasn’t been limited to office tenants. In addition to the Cowboys’ headquarters and practice facilities, the 91-acre, mixed-use development is home to a 16-story Omni Hotel, several retail and restaurant concepts, and the Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy & Research Center.

Jones is also trying to keep foot traffic at The Star with a luxury apartment building, the DMN said. In partnership with developer Columbus Realty, the Jones family expects to soon begin construction on the 17-story, 160-unit Star House.
