Plans submitted for potential Amazon HQ2 site in Victory Park

Proposals are pushing forward for a Victory Park tower that’s been pitched as a site for Amazon’s HQ2.

The Dallas Morning News reported that Hillwood Urban has submitted plans to the city of Dallas and is looking for approval to build its 15-story 2601 Victory Avenue tower. According to the plans, the building will span 374,000 square feet of office space and 13,000 square feet of retail. Show Full Story

The tower would be constructed next to the DART Victory Park station and across from the American Airlines Center on an 8.4-acre tract owned by Hillwood, the DMN added. A 7-story parking garage is proposed for behind the tower, and a 1-acre park would separate the building from the DART station.

BOKA Powell, a Dallas architect, has designed the building to feature brick, concrete and glass in an homage to older buildings in the city’s nearby West End, the DMN said.

Other developers have filed plans for Victory Park in the past few weeks. Houston-based Hines has put forward a proposal for a 39-story building that would include apartments and retail. If constructed, it would be the tallest tower in the Victory Park neighborhood.
